Let’s talk about giving:

The holidays are upon us once again.  Buying gifts for your loved ones is part of many holiday traditions.   Many of us are not in the financial position to be going on shopping binges which cause stress and anxiety, nor do we all want to.   Let’s keep in mind that there are TRULY many touching gifts that are not monetary in nature.  A phone call to a friend who might be lonely,  a written note in the mail to let someone know that you are thinking of them.  Checking in on a neighbor in need.  These kind gestures can be EXACTLY what the receiver is hoping for.   Small acts of kindness can brighten a person’s day more than we realize.   Traumatic times, family loss,  and illness don’t know that we are in the midst of our holiday season!   Small gestures  can help the affected feel less alone.

I challenge and encourage you to think of one person who might need your attention and love then act upon it.   Today.  We can all do our share to make our world a kinder and happier place to live.  It doesn’t take much; just a  heartfelt intention!
